IV Hydration Therapy FAQs
Everything you need to know before your IV hydration appointment with Nurse Theory Wellness.
What is IV hydration therapy?
IV hydration therapy delivers fluids and selected vitamins, minerals, and nutrients directly into the bloodstream through an IV. We offer different drip options based on your wellness goals.
Which IV drip should I choose?
It depends on what you’re looking for! We offer options focused on hydration, energy, beauty, immune support, recovery, and overall wellness. Explore our drip menu to find the option that best fits your goals.
Do you come to me?
Yes! That’s what makes it easy. Choose your treatment, book your appointment, and we come to your home, hotel, office, or other approved location. You simply sit back and relax.
How long does an IV take?
Most IV hydration appointments take approximately 60-90 minutes, including medical screening, although treatment time can vary depending on the drip and individual.
Who administers my IV?
Your IV is administered by a trained medical professional. We use careful screening and clinical protocols to provide a comfortable, professional experience.
Does getting an IV hurt?
You may feel a quick pinch when the IV is placed. Once it’s in, most clients are able to relax comfortably throughout their infusion.
How quickly will I feel the effects?
Everyone is different. Some people report noticing a difference during or shortly after their infusion, while others may notice more subtle effects or none at all. Results aren’t guaranteed and vary by individual.
How often can I get an IV?
This depends on your health, wellness goals, the ingredients in your drip, and your provider’s recommendations. More isn’t always better, so we’ll help make sure your treatment is appropriate for you.
Can I customize my IV?
We offer several thoughtfully designed drips for different wellness goals, along with select add-ons when appropriate. Your nurse can help you determine which available option best matches what you’re looking for.
Can I get an IV if I’m sick?
IV hydration isn’t a substitute for medical evaluation or treatment when you’re ill. Your symptoms and medical history will be reviewed to determine whether treatment is appropriate. Certain symptoms may require evaluation by your healthcare provider instead.
Is IV hydration safe for everyone?
IV therapy may not be appropriate for everyone. Medical history, medications, allergies, pregnancy, kidney or heart conditions, and other factors may affect eligibility. Clients are screened before treatment.
What should I do before my appointment?
We recommend eating beforehand, drinking normally, wearing comfortable clothing, and having your medical history and current medications available.
Do you offer group IV appointments?
